THAT’S how you make lace??
And THIS is why lace was a worn primarily by royalty and aristocracy for so many centuries.. It was expensive and time-consuming to produce. Wearing it, and wearing LOTS of it was a blatant show of wealth and excessive consumption.
Mechanically-produced lace wasn’t really a thing until well into the 20th century, but there remains a wide gap between the quality of mass-produced and hand crafted
In general textile arts are highly underated considering the amount of skill and time needed to execute pretty much anything.
I am always amazed by the people that do this and somehow keep all those threads from tangling!

the last demon to leave this reality fed off a human, mixed their blood. He was a human form possessed … infected … by the demon’s soul. He bit another, and another … and so they walk the Earth, feeding. Killing some, mixing their blood with others to make more of their kind. You know, I always assumed ‘The Demon’ in question was some version of The First. But rereading this quote, it seems more of like a hive mind? Like it could be considered a corruption, but when Angel defeats Eyghon he does so by taking them into his body. They then fight ‘The Demon’ in question. Which means that there’s some form of consciousness within vampires. But a vampire’s personality is based off of their original personality, corrupted. They’re still themselves, as Angel himself admits and is evident (particularly when you compare Vampire Willow and Dark Willow), just a twisted version of themselves. So what does The Demon do? Hide inside of vampires, messing with their minds, making them act on their worst desires? In every vampire, simultaneously? Is he still alive somewhere? I want to know how he operates control over all of these separate beings at once.
Or maybe they’re like his Horcruxes (mixing fandoms here, but stay with me). They’re each a piece of his soul, a part of his consciousness, but he doesn’t actively control them. Like every time a vampire is turned, his soul is duplicated and placed within the person. Probably not split, because a soul that splintered (even a demon soul) would likely be unstable…
Although I just remembered the very obvious fact that vampires always say they have no soul.
So what the hell?
